What’s On

  • Due to insurance restrictions, all ride participants must be paid-up members of MEAG. Please complete and return membership form prior to booking on any events. Forms are available on our website, Facebook page or can be requested by emailing

  • You must book onto events as numbers are usually limited due to the availability of parking. To book, or for further information about any ride or event, please contact the organiser directly via email as per event description.

  • Events and talks are generally free to MEAG members; however, we sometimes make a small charge to cover venue hire or ask for donations to charity as a thank you to the organiser/presenter.

  • More events will be added to this programme and trail rides may be organised at short notice, so keep and eye on our website and Facebook page.

  • We try to cater for all levels of experience so don’t worry if you think you are not fit enough or if you want to go in a small group.

    Saturday 12th January 12:00pm

    4 hour Certified Basic Life Support First Aid Course

    A concise course that focuses on initial, time critical care for life threatening situations including dealing with someone who has stopped breathing, is choking, has become unconscious or has severe bleeding.

    There will be a charge for this course to cover certification

    & equipment hire (around £25)


    Saturday 2nd March

    Confidence Building Hack

    Tarryblake Woods near Keith, meet 11am

    This will be a slow, 1 – 1 ½ hour ride with a small group. Ideal for beginners, nervous riders or horses and riders looking to build their fitness and confidence. Ample parking with no reversing required for those worried about the trailer driving side of things!

    Extra adults can be arranged to walk / lead if required.

    Horse Desensitisation Session

    An opportunity to introduce your horse to all things scary!

    Tarpaulins, wooden planks, plastic bags, umbrellas, dogs, cuddly toys –just use your imagination! Sessions will take place in small groups.

    Roseisile Forest it is. Ground may still be hard but it shouldn’t be icy.

    January 2nd Ride. The forecast is for it to remain cold for the next few days so there is a good chance that the snow and ice won’t melt from Ben Aigan in time. If that is the case then we will go to Roseisle forest instead. I’ll make the final decsion about mid-day on Monday
